Using Eys to learn, develop and improve with guidance from ophthalmologists
We chose to initiate our collaboration with Eys largely due to the new National Board of Health and Welfares´s optometrist regulation that came into effect at the turn of the year. We sought a secure and patient-safe collaborative partner with fast feedback, where we also would receive comprehensive guidance and assistance in handling our patients. Additionally, we were looking for a user-friendly digital system with the ability to share various materials/images as well as video sequences such as OCT scans. This has worked really well and has been easy for us opticians to use.
We find the feedback from the ophthalmologists to be very good and informative. I appreciate that we receive guidance and assistance on how to handle the case. If the outcome is that we need to refer the patient, we also receive a letter with information from the ophthalmologist, which simplifies our feedback to the patient.
Collaborating with Eys has definitely facilitated my clinical daily life, especially in more complicated cases. It is a great comfort to be able to get a second opinion from an ophthalmologist, and by reviewing the responses, I feel that I learn incredibly much and develop within my profession. So, to summarize, I see our collaboration with Eys as a valuable resource that simplifies my and my colleagues' clinical daily lives.
